The quantity of fodder delivered is roughly constant over the whole length of the discharge opening. The hopper (4) has a bottom opening, through which a regular flow is delivered to the conveyor, which thus after a time contains a selected quantity of fodder per unit of length. The discharge system delivers the fodder from the conveyor, the drive mechanism also turning the conveyor trough (2) so that the fodder in it passes through the discharge opening. An auger (5) delivers fodder from the hopper to an outlet (8) to which the conveyor is connected. A common drive actuates both auger and conveyor (12).
