Cable-guided airship

The airship (1) has a balloon (2) or a rigid envelope, which is filled with hydrogen, helium or hot air. The balloon supports a cabin (3). The volume of the envelope and the pressure of the gas is selected so that the lifting force can be reduced or increased with respect to the load carried. The transporter is guided on a guide device (4,7), which can be a cable or a pair of superimposed upper and lower cables. The cables can be arranged between ten and twenty metres above ground.
