Common-rail fuel injection device for diesel engine

The fuel injection device has a high pressure pump (8) for feeding fuel to the pressure line (15) supplying the fuel injectors (19). The heavy (diesel) oil fuel is supplied to the pump from the fuel tank (2) via a fuel preparation device (3) including a heater (6) for pre-heating the fuel. The pressure line has an overflow valve (21), which opens to allow circulation of the heated fuel through the pump and the pressure line during standstill of the engine.
