A cycle gear which is fitted in and on the side of the rear wheel hub and is activated by means of a finger grip via a cable, so that a cross pin 2 presses on a bearing 6 or conversely releases the pressure by means of a spring 4. This causes a slide 5 to move, and the balls, which are fitted in the channels, will move from one annular gear 16 to another. Also involved in the gear shift will be the chain 18, which with its lateral cone design will press on the annular gears 16, which thus again press on the balls. The annular gears 16 are fitted in inner dishes, which are connected to an inner cover 11 and outer cover 12, which are screwed and pinned together with a centre piece 13 and ball guide 7. The chain 18, which meshes with the blade 17 and the annular gears selected on the gear, will draw the rear wheel round by means of pawls fitted on the outside of the ball guide 7. <IMAGE>
