Sieve band machine for removal of solids from e.g. power station cooling water

A sieve band machine for the mechanical removal of solids from liquid media, especially cooling water intakes of power stations, comprises two chain wheels driven by a drive, and an endless sieve band. The sieve band consists or two chains, which are located over the wheels, and numerous sieve baskets which connect them together. A spray unit is located above the sieve band, for the removal of solids and dirt. A funnel shaped catchment device is located between the chain wheels, to collect the solids and dirt. The sieve baskets (1) have profiled elements (2) and a mesh structure.
