The housing for an electrical appts. has at least one circuit board (4) fitted to the interior of one of the housing sections (2), before the complete housing (1) is assembled. The other housing section (3) is fitted with an elastomer cladding (9,10) or a shaped elastomer body at points where bars (7,8) and or pressure surfaces are in contact with the circuit board (4). When the housing sections (2,3) are brought together, they are pressed home to overcome the elasticity of the elastomer material and secure the circuit board (4) within the assembled housing (1). The elastomer cladding (9,10) is preferably a silicon lozenge.
