Reception circuit arrangement for optical waveguide

The circuit arrangement contains a photo-electric converter for converting light signals from the optical waveguide, into electrical signals. These contain data. There is also a supervision circuit arrangement which monitors the electric signals. A photo-electric component (T2) is provided in addition to the converter (2), which receives the light from the conductor (6). The photo-electric converter and the supervision circuit arrangement (3) are connected via an electronic switch (T1) to a supply voltage. The photo-electric component activates the electronic switch, if it receives light from the optical waveguide. The photoelectric element may be a phototransistor, which is preferable located on a common substrate with the converter.
