Three or four UV or IR lamps (8) in a frame, harden pipe or channel linings. The temp.-resistant, cylindrical plastic guide brushes (2) have equal length, radial bristles; their axis (3) shared with that of the lamp mounting (4). Circular carriers (13) hold removable brushes (2) at the front and rear of the mounting (6). The brushes can alternatively be fastened in releasable carrier strips, at constant radius from the axis (3). The bristle diameter is 0.5-2 mm; the length 50-200 mm. The lamps (8) are set equally about the circumference, and have a suitable number of reflectors (7). A non-contact temp. measuring sensor (14) completes the unit. Several such units may be connected by an electrical cable (17) with couplings (18, 19), to form a chain.
