<p>The support fits between a motor vehicle engine and chassis and comprises an elastomer body (13) with rigid members (11,12) connected to an arm (7) projecting from the engine and to the chassis respectively. A limiter (14) controls relative movements of the engine and chassis. The movement limiter comprises one rigid pin (16a) projecting vertically from a semi-circular plate (15) which is joined via the lower rigid member (12) to the chassis, and two other pins (23,24) which project vertically downwards from the rigid arm. The pins are connected by rings (28,29) made from filaments of a strong, flexible but non-stretch material, e.g. polyester, embedded in a layer of an elastomer. The rings are held in place on the pins by end collars (22,25,26).</p> |
