SWINGING SLIDING DOOR FOR VEHICLES

A pivotable support mechanism (2,3,4,5) forms a link parallelogram connecting the door panel (1) with the slide (6). A guide rail (9) is fixed in the vehicle, in which runs a guide pin (8) connected with a component of the support mechanism and so determines the angle position of the support mechanism. A linear drive (10) produces the movement of the door panel (1) and the slide (6) along the support rail (7). It acts on an engagement component (15) on the slide (6). The engagement component in relation to the slide is movable between two positions, whereby the one position corresponds to the outwardly pivoted position of the door panel and the other position corresponds to the inwardly pivoted position of the door panel.
