FLOOR COVERING AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THEREOF

A floor coating comprises at least two layers, one on top of the other and based on polyurethane (PU). A process for producing the coating involves applying the first layer (2) to a surface (1) to be coated and then applying the upper layer (3) before the lower layer (2) is completely cured. Preferably the upper layer (3) includes 20-50% of a filler (4), especially quartz sand, quartz powder and/or corundum. Filler particle size is 0.1-0.5mm. During application the viscosity of the lower layer (2) is 2000-9000 mPa s and of the upper layer (3) 9000-21000 mPas. The upper layer (3) may include a light resistant hardener. Adhesion between both layers (2,3) is 1.5-6N. The fillers (4) may be added to the polymer before applying the coating or afterwards prior to the start of curing of the layers.
