Front stop drive for sheet supports in printing press

The front stop drive has mechanisms to move the front stops away from and towards the paper stack and to support a precise positioning of the sheet being laid against the front edge. The front stop (1) for precision stacking can be vibrated or held rigidly against the stack (2) of sheets as required, or to be held rigidly but able to be turned out or back. There may be a vibratory drive (5,6,9,10,14,4) for the front stops, which can be disabled by a locking transmission (9,11,12).
