<p>Aqueous stabilised unsaturated quaternary ammonium salt(s) of the following formula( I), R1 = H or Me; R = Me or benzyl; X = Cl, Br, I or -CH3-SO4, obtained by the reaction, in the presence of water, of N,N-dimethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate of formula (II), with a quaternising agent of formula R-X (III), with R and X as above. The solution contains a stabiliser associated with the monomer (II) and also a metal sequestering agent chosen from diethylenetriamine penta-acetic acid, its pentasodium salt, N-hydroxyethyl-ethylenediamine triacetic acid and is trisodium salt. Also claimed, is their method of preparation.</p> |
