The invention relates to a piezo-electric driving or adjusting element, which is specially used to produce tilting motions in high frequence ranges. The invention has the task of creating a piezo-electric stack element which generates the required external electrical connection contacts with a substantially reduced mechanical load and specially direct titling motions without requiring additional means for motion transformation. This is done by including at least two areas (1, 2) comprising such piezo-electric stacks, by arranging an area (3) between the latter which contains segments that are detected only partially or undetected by a electrical field generated by the flat laminate contacts, by disposing the external electrode connections (4, 4', 5, 5') of the areas (1, 2) as far as possible in the direction of the so-called field-reduced or field-free areas, wherein the area (3) is connected with the areas (1 and 2) at least in positive fit.
