Unit for boiling eggs with continuous egg-conveyor

The continuous, barred conveyor (11) has transverse U-shaped bars holding the eggs (10) and linked to continuous conveyor elements (12) on their end sides. The conveying end of the continuous conveyor is lowered over a set conveyor section (18) into a water-bath so that the eggs standing on the cross-bars are completely immersed in water. The water bath is contained in a trough (15) with lid. The cross-bars each have a longitudinal row of holes the diameter of which is such that the eggs protrude more above the bars than below them. A rotary, driven bucket wheel (21) operates in conjunction with a downward sloping deflector plate at the back deflector part of the top end of the continuous conveyor, for transferring the eggs.
