New thio-phosphated derivative of colloidal lime is obtained by : (a) addition of at least one phosphorus sulphide to colloidal lime in a volatile organic solvent; (b) heating and stirring of the mixture; and (c) elimination of the solvent. Also claimed, is the use of these products as additives to lubricants
