<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a wheelchair user to easily travel between a position of high elevation and another position of low elevation when a caretaker assists, and allow installation even in small space. SOLUTION: This travel route is formed out of a plurality of steps 1 laid approximately orthogonally with the travel direction of a wheelchair and a horizontal wheelchair travel plane 2 formed between the steps 1. Also, the length of the wheelchair travel plane 2 is made larger than the overall length of the wheelchair. As a result, the wheelchair is capable of maintaining a stable state during every motion along one of the steps 1 and at the same time, safely ascending or descending. The wheelchair travel plane 2 may be formed to have a gentile slope or a recessed curvature along the travel direction of the wheelchair. Also, a steep slope may be formed between a plurality of the wheelchair travel planes 2 without providing the steps 1. In addition, a plurality of recessed curvatures may be arranged to provide a corrugated travel plane.</p> |
