<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an elastic body from being twisted by means of a mechanism which linearly extends/contracts the elastic body when a gate for the load carrying platform of a vehicle is opened/closed, and make its operation smooth. SOLUTION: This is a closing auxiliary device 1 for a gate, which is so constituted that the device 1 lightens operating force required at the time of energy releasing by converting the potential energy of the gate 4 to the strain energy of a coil spring 5 made out of a steel spring as an example of an elastic body by way of a link mechanism when the gate 4 for the load carrying platform of a vehicle is opened downward, and concurrently operating force required at the time of closing the gate is reduced by taking out the strain energy accumulated in the coil spring 5 by way of the link mechanism when the gate 4 is closed upward, and the coil spring 5 is so constituted as to be linearly extended/contracted by letting a rod 13 perform a linear movement by means of a piston crank mechanism 14.</p> |
