<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a desired spot diameter constantly for all LED elements without causing uneven density regardless of difference in the characteristics of a photosensitive material to be used or modification in the image forming conditions. SOLUTION: When a desired spot diameter is determined and image forming conditions are modified to match the characteristics of a photosensitive material to be used, a correction data reading means reads out a correction data from a memory section 15 depending on that image forming conditions and a drive control means controls the firing operation of an LED element 3 using the correction data. Consequently, uniform optical writing is ensured to provide a desired spot diameter and an image having uniform density can be obtained constantly.</p> |
