PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition which retains good lubricating properties even after being aged and is useful as especially a fuel-saving engine oil by mixing a lubricating base oil with especially two specified components. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing a lubricating base oil with 0.005-2wt.% (in terms of the molybdenum amount) at least one member selected among sulfided oxymolybdenum dithiocarbamates represented by formula I (wherein R<1> to R<4> are each a hydrocarbon group; and X<1> to X<4> are each O or S), sulfided oxymolybdenum dithiophosphate represented by formula II (wherein R<5> to R<8> are each a hydrocarbon group; and X<5> to X<8> are each O or S) and molybdenum amine compounds obtained by reacting a molybdenum (VI) compound with an amino compound represented by formula II (wherein R<9> and R<10> are each H and/or a hydrocarbon group, provided that they can not be hydrogen atoms simultaneously), 0.001-3wt.% thiocarbamoyl compound represented by formula IV (wherein R<11> to R<14> are each a 6C or higher hydrocarbon group; and Y is -(S)n - (wherein n is 1-7)) and optionally a compound represented by formula V (wherein a is 0 to 1/3; and R<15> and R<16> are each a hydrocarbon group), etc. |
