PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing a composition to be applied to leaf surface or fruits, capable of preventing physiological disorder caused by calcium deficiency of crops, containing a saccharide and an organic acid, having a high calcium concentration. SOLUTION: Calcium hydroxide or a substance to form calcium hydroxide by hydration is dissolved in an aqueous solution in which glucose and an organic acid exist. One or more of formic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid is preferable as the organic acid. The addition order of the glucose and the organic acid to water may be any order in which either is the first. Otherwise both are simultaneously added. Finally calcium hydroxide is added. Properly 15-40 pts.wt. of the glucose and 3-20 pts.wt. of the organic acid based on water are present.
