<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the homogeneity of the temperature and the uniformity of the viscosity in a plasticized powder batch material by a method wherein an extruder, which locates in the upstream of an extruding die and is equipped with an improved flow homogenizer, is used. SOLUTION: An extruder 10 has two extruding screws 12, which are arranged in a barrel 14 and driven by means of a motor installed at the inlet end part of the barrel 14. On the barrel 14, an inlet 18, through which a batch material mixed and plasticized in the extruder is introduced, is provided. A flow reversing homogenizer 20 locating in the downstream of a screw 12 portion is included in a cartridge 22 mounted at the outlet end part of the barrel 14 of the extruder. Further, a sieve 24 and a sieve supporting plate 26 locates in the cartridge 22 at the front or upstream of the homogenizer 20 with regard to the flow direction of the batch material. A honeycomb extruding die 28 is mounted downstream of the flow reversing homogenizer 20 positioned at the outlet end part of the cartridge 22.</p> |
