PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify seawater or fresh water polluted with excretion by utilizing microorganisms naturally contained in seawater or fresh water and evenly and uniformly passing the filled filter material within a tank through cleaned seawater or fresh water and sufficiently supplying to accelerate the propagation of microorganisms to enhance cleaning capacity to efficiently perform purification. SOLUTION: Microorganism acclimatizing filter beds 3 equipped with filter materials composed of water permeable long fiber nonwoven fabric 3a are arranged within a tank main body 2 so as to be spaced apart up and down and nozzles 4 jetting water containing oxygen-containing fine air bubbles are arranged under the respective microorganism acclimatizing filter beds 3 and one end of an introducing passage 2a introducing seawater or fresh water polluted with excretion of fishes and shellfishes is connected to the lower part of the lowermost bacteria acclimatizing filter bed of the tank main body and one end of a discharge passage 2b discharging purified seawater or fresh water to the upper part of the uppermost microorganism acclimatizing filter bed 3 of the tank main body 2 and microorganisms having purifying capacity naturally contained in seawater or fresh water are bonded to the long fiber nonwoven fabric 3a of each of the microorganism acclimatizing filter bed.
