<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic air cleaner by which dust or the like is effectively collected on a sheet placed in contact with an anode and also dust stuck on parts and the like around there is reduced, and furthermore, cleaning time of air in a room is shortened. SOLUTION: This air cleaner is provided with a cathode 7 connected to a high voltage power source, an anode supporting body 2 provided on the front surface with an anode 4 opposite to the cathode 7, a rear cover 1 supporting the anode supporting body 2 from being to form a rear space 1a between it and the anode supporting body 2, a fan 3 provided on the rear cover to exhaust air from the rear space 10, a dust collecting sheet 5 for covering the front surface of the anode 4, and a grid-shaped front cover 6 attachably and detachably supported by the rear cover 1 and surrounding the cathode 7. Around the anode supporting body 2, a gap for making a space in the front cover 6 communicate with the rear space 10 is provided.</p> |
