PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which allows gradual change in rigidity at a wire connection part with excellent operability and resistance to kinking in a type produced by connecting wires with a different rigidity. SOLUTION: A wire body of a guide wire 1 comprises a first wire A and a second wire B with a different rigidity and the first wire A and the second wire B are connected by a tubular connection member 12. A slit is formed in a part 121 to be wrapped of a joint member 12 wrapping the first wire A and the pitch thereof is so formed to be closer toward the side of the first wire A. The arranging of such a slit enables gradual increase in the rigidity of the connection member 12 of the guide wire 1 to the side of the second wire B from the side of the first wire A. |
