PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high speed printing of an image having a high density without occurrence of delaying of refilling of ink in an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: In heaters SEG1-SEG4 for ink ejection of an ink jet head, the heaters SEG1 and SEG3 are disposed near an ink supplying hole rather than the other heaters. In a high speed printing mode wherein the speed is two times of that in a normal mode, the above heaters SEG1 and SEG3 are driven by a driving cycle which is two times of that of the other. A delay time corresponding to the differences of the disposing positions of the heaters is set. As a result, it is possible to reduce thinned dots due to the high speed printing in terms of the printed result, thereby preventing lowering of the overall density. |
