<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the periphery of a center of a rear edge from entering into contact with an outlet side weir of a coating liq. tank by providing a pair of pushing-up members moving vertically near an escape side of a hard substrate of a microrod bar at right and left and in which both side edge back surface of a hard substrate is pushed up by the upper end roller at its rising position. SOLUTION: A pair of pushing-up members 30 is provided at right and left so that the members may project upward from between a transporting roller 22 at the escape side of the glass substrate 10. These pushing-up members 30 are moved vertically with a driving means 36, and the roller 38 in rolling-contact with an uncoated area of both right and left side edges of the glass substrate 10 is mounted at its upper end. A motor 34 of the driving means 36 is started by an controlling means 48 when a rear edge of the glass substrate 10 reaches a prescribed position P1 . Then the pushing-up members 30 are pushed up smoothly together with a movement of the glass substrate 10, and the glass substrate 10 is pushed up at the both right and left side edges after the roller is brought into contact with the glass substrate 10. Thus, a lowering amount near a center of the rear edge of the glass substrate 10 is reduced. In this way, the contact of the substrate to the weir of the coating liq. tank 12 is prevented.</p> |
