<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve picking capability by quickly and reliably replenishing to a rack with articles without using any cassette for housing the articles. SOLUTION: A replenishing device 50 for gripping articles 10 into a piled state and replenishing a rack 30 with them, and a storage rack 70 for continuously storing the articles 10 to be replenished in the rack 30 by the replenishing device 50 in the piled state are provided. In the replenishing device 50, the required articles 10 to be replenished are gripped by a gripping device 51 in the piled state and moved to the upper part of an article 10 on the topmost stage of a corresponding line 31 of the rack 30 with the displacement of the gripping mechanism 51 by a horizontal moving mechanism, a vertical moving mechanism and a turning mechanism and the movement of the replenishing device 50 itself by traveling of a truck. The gripping of the articles 10 by the gripping mechanism 51 is loosened, and the articles 10 are transferred onto the article 10 on the topmost stage of the corresponding line 31 of the rack 30 by an extruding mechanism.</p> |
