<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable joint capable of freely changing a mounting angle, keeping a mounting part inconspicuous and allowing an easy mounting work. SOLUTION: This variable joint for a synthetic resin handrail is used for the mounting structure of a synthetic resin handrail having a structure where a long-sized metallic frame agreeing to the hollow part of a synthetic resin cylindrical body is coupled to the inner side of the body cut along a lengthwise direction for reinforcement. In this case, the joint is formed out a curved cylindrical member 1 and a boss 2. The external surface of the curved cylindrical member 1 is cut along a lengthwise direction, and both edges of the member 1 are integrated with a circular plate 3 having a center hole 4 to fit the boss 2 and a plurality of set screw holes 5 around the center hole 4 for fitting the long-sized metallic frame. Also, the boss 2 is rod type capable of being inserted in a coupling hole formed on the end of the long-sized metallic frame, and a projection 7 positioned at the edge of the curved cylindrical member 1 and coupled to the center hole 4 is formed on one end of the boss 2.
