<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a trouble of engine start caused by accumulating water in a muffler by arranging a tank for containing water downward the muffler arranged in an exhaust pipe for an engine whose tip end is opened in a single combination chimney, and communicating the bottom part of the muffler with water in the tank. SOLUTION: In a device provided with a muffler in an exhaust pipe for an engine and boiler whose tip end is opened in a single combination chimney, a transparent tank 10 is arranged downward the muffler, and a drain of the muffler and tank 10 are communicated with each other through a communicating pipe 11 which is supported to a support plate 15 in a condition in which the supporting plate installed on the tank 10 is penetrated, and an opening/closing valve 16 is arranged downward the support plate 15 in the communicating pipe 11. A level gage 17 is arranged in the tank 10, and water 18 is filled up to a nearly intermediate position of the height of the tank 10. A detecting sensor 19 for detecting that a water level in the tank 10 is higher than a constant level, is connected to an alarm through a cable 20.</p> |
