<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ceramic raw material composition capable of readily performing effective utilization of a waste material such as a glass, excellent in sintering properties when forming the raw material into a prescribed shape and sintering the formed product, and having a good formability, and further to provide a sintered compact and its production method. SOLUTION: This ceramic raw material composition comprises a mixture obtained by milling a glass with a clay for pottery, pottery stone or feldspars by a wet or dry milling method and mixing thereof. The particle diameters (μm) and the accumulated weight percentage of the raw material composition have the relation satisfying the following formulas when (x) expresses a logarithm of the particle diameter and (y) expresses the accumulated percentage: when -1<=x<=-0.3, 0<=y<=20x+35; when -0.3<=x<=0, 33x+10<=y<=20x+35; when 0<=x<=1, 35x+10<=y<=65x+35; when 1<=x<=2, 55x-10<=y<=100.</p> |
