<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module type active head protective (air bag) system for an automobile that can be assembled in advance. SOLUTION: A air bag device is provided with an air bag 5 formed of an expandable air cushion, an inflator for charging the air bag 5, a gas guide tube 4 extended passing a partitioned area of the air bag 5, a blow opening of the gas guide tube 4, and a molded bar 13. A discharging tube 6 is formed in the molded bar 13, and the air bag 5 folded in a pile is stored in the discharging tube 6 along with the gas guide tube 4. The air bag device is further provided with a fixed element for holding a constituent unit consisting of the molded bar 13, the air bag 5 and the gas guide tube 4.</p> |
