Information, especially homepages, being downloaded from the internet onto the user`s computer is also transferred to an intermediate server and then stored both on the computer and intermediate server. During downloading of new information a comparison is made in the intermediate server between the new information and that already stored on the server, and an extract is made containing only completely new information, which is then transferred to the computer where it is incorporated into the original information stored there. |
