<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retard abrasion of a pin by reducing an applied load to a contact point between a plane portion and an engaging groove in a state where the pin is tilted by clearance between a holding hole and the pin. SOLUTION: A driving shaft rotating in synchronization with an engine interlocks with a cylindrical cam shaft through engagement of a pair of pins 36, 37 with fitting grooves 30, 33. When a ring-shaped disk 29 holding the pins 36, 37 becomes eccentric, a valve lifting characteristic changes because the cam shaft rotates ununiformly. Respective pins 36, 37 consist of cylindrical bases 36c, 37c fitted into holding holes 29b, 29c and tip portions with plane portions 36a, 37a. When said pins are tilted slightly by a clearance, the tilting angles of the pins 36, 37 are held by contacting with the holding holes 29b, 29c at two portions whereby an applied load to a contact point between the plane portions 36a, 37a and edges of engaging grooves 30, 33 is reduced.</p> |
