The masonry block, for use in erection of retaining walls, in shaped unit, has a vertically fitted retainer plate and angled base plate tapering towards its open end, the former having mutually fitting hinge faces formed on its sides. A hinging protuberance (3, 4) is formed on each lateral edge of the retainer plate (1), each staggered in relation to the other. For each of these there is a fitting hinge lug (8) on the other side. There may be two such protuberances on at least one side, with one on the other side fitting between them. They may accommodate a hinge bar for connection with adjacent embankment blocks.
|
