PURPOSE:To provide a dot printer with a larger freedom of expression through selective application of any one from among sizes and spaces of dots prepared in several stages. CONSTITUTION:A bar 2 is connected to a power transmission belt 9 placed scross a pulley 10 and an idle pulley 11 of a servo-motor 8 in the drive mechanism 3 through a connection member 12. Printing mechanisms which are arranged in sets each having M pieces (M=2, 3, 4...) varied in the size of dots to be applied are fixed to the bar 2 in the number of N(N=2, 3, 4...). In the printing mechanism, wires with a diameter of 1'a>1'b>1'c are respectively mounted on solenoids 1a, 1b and 1c in such a manner that the spaces are set at lm between corresponding wires 1'a in adjacents two sets, at lm between wires 1'b and 1'c in adjacent two sets and at ln between wires 1'a, 1'b and 1'c. Any one set of wires 1'a, 1'b and 1'c in these M sets of printing mechanisms is selectively brought into operation. |
