Disclosed is an electrochemical sensor for determining the concentration of a gas by using an electrochemical element, comprising an electrochemical pumping cell, with a first and a second electrodes as well as a volume which can be filled with gas through an inlet and in which one of the electrodes is placed, while said inlet (11) is covered whith a porous gate-like disk (24). Also disclosed is the manufacturing process.
