The invention concerns a device for carrying out a transoesophageal echocardiography and a cardioversion comprising a single endoscope (1) provided at its distal end with a ultrasonic sensor (3) and in the proximity of its distal end with at least en electrode (8) for generating electric shocks. The invention is useful for the treatment of auricular fibrillation.
