Machining system for bristles especially of tooth-brushes

The machining appliance has at least one rotary disc (3) which has at least one profiling or protuberance protruding from the disc surface (6) on the side facing the field of bristles. The protuberances are formed by one or more bridge-type protuberances (5) extending over the radial width of the disc. The leading side of the protuberances is in the form of a blade-type edge with adjacent corrugations or grooves. The effective area of the bristle outer surface (2) is first scored and then the bristle (7) is scored over its entire length. Scoring is effected by an abrasive medium (8) which is applied over the disc surface. The bristles are also rounded, prior to scoring and splitting of the bristles is prevented by the corrugated profile of the leading side of the protuberances.
