The seat has a seating surface (2) and back rest (3). These are linked together by side pivots (9,10) and setting units (8) to transmit push and pull forces. The pivots (9) are located at the seat, to hold the setting units, at a gap under the pivots (10) at the back rest. Preferably, the backrest has at least one spring to restore its original position.
