The plant protection arrangement localizes a problem which appears in any constitutive element of a plant, and contains a protection device for protecting a plant component (30) by controlling the plant component through transmission of an output signal to an operational element (32), in response to an input signal from a sensor (31). The signal from the sensor records the working condition of a plant control system containing the plant component, the sensor, a control unit (33), and the operational element. A control arrangement is provided with a control console (42) which contains input- and output display sections (44, 45) for indicating a condition of an input and/or output signal, as well as a logic diagram (46) which indicates the relationship between the input and the output on a surface of the protection device. A user can thereby determine, whether an error appeared in the sensor, in the operational element, or in the control unit of the plant control system.
