The invention concerns an anti-lock motor vehicle braking system comprising a dual-circuit brake pressure transducer (1, 23) with the brake circuits divided diagonally. Each wheel is connected via a hydraulic valve (4, 5). In addition, each brake circuit (I, II, I', II') comprises a low-pressure accumulator (6) having two separate inlets (E1, E2) for the connection of a rear wheel and a front wheel, and is designed such that, when a predetermined accumulator filling level is reached, the discharge of pressure medium from the front wheel brake (13) is blocked. According to the invention, 3/2 directional control valves (4, 5) are used as hydraulic valves which, after switching over into their second switching position, close the pressure medium path to the brake pressure transducer (1, 23) and open a pressure medium path (9, 10) from the wheel brakes (12, 13) to the low-pressure accumulator (6), there being provided in each of these pressure medium discharge paths (9, 10) which lead from the hydraulic valves (4, 5) to the inlets (E1, E2) of the low-pressure accumulator (6) a throttle point, for example in the form of a fixed aperture (7, 8).
