Valve for setting flow of fluid medium

The valve has a through channel (3), an inlet opening (4) and an outlet opening (5) for the fluid medium. Downstream of the outlet opening is a pressure and/or flow meter providing a measurement signal proportional to the pressure and/or flow. A subtraction element provides from the signal and a set value for the pressure or flow, a control variable for the actuator device (10). A valve element (9) is arranged in the through channel. The valve element can be moved between two end positions (11,12) by an actuator device. The flow rate is affected in dependence on the angle of rotation of the valve element. A tap off opening (6) branches off from the flow through channel. The opening has an aperture (7) with a predetermined gap geometry. The aperture (8) is arranged in the pivotal region of the valve element so in one of the end positions the tap off opening is essentially closed and the flow channel (3) is thus set in the flow direction.
