Device for sawing of stone blocks

The sawing device has camera (11) which is provided at the delivery point (4) for the recognition of stone blocks (5) that have a slit. The position control of the saw unit (15) is dependent upon the function of the camera, and a computer program (23) for a set of stone blocks is interrupted by a stone block with a slit. Several cameras which are parallel to each other may be provided for one slab-form stone element. The stone blocks are fed by a belt conveyor with the delivery point at the end, and a gripper (8) is movable back and forth between the delivery point and saw unit.
