<p>Novel catalysts are provided for the polymerization of olefins such as ethylene. These catalysts comprise a novel amorphous aluminophosphate comprising, on a microlevel, sheets of aluminophosphate as well as spheres of aluminophosphate plus a chromium compound. These new catalysts are surprisingly active; result in more co-monomer incorporation than prior art catalysts and reduce the amount of low molecular weight material in the product.</p> |
