The corner joint comprises a mechanical connector (4) which fits into the open ends of the two extrusions (1,2) forming the corner and incorporates a flexible insert (9). The insert projects from the surface of the connector and is compressed between the meeting edges of the extrusions so that it breaks their surface continuity and prevents any ingress of moisture by capillary action. The mechanical connector is L-shaped, with transverse surface projections and recesses (7,8), while the flexible insert is cylindrical in shape, made from a closed-cell plastics foam, and located in a diagonal hole in the connector.
