PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection device in which fluid can be automatically injected to a man. SOLUTION: An injection device 10 comprises a drive assembly, and a throw- away assembly 20 including an injector assembly to be installed on the drive assembly. The drive assembly comprises a drive rod 46, and a spring 56 to press the drive rod to the injector. The spring 56 presses the drive rod 46 along an axial line of the device 10 to let a needle 38 of the injector assembly penetrate skin. The spring 56 continues to press the drive rod till the drive rod is engaged with a piston 32 in the injector assembly, so substance in the injector is discharged. A cap 16 detachably installed on the throw-away assebly, and a lock member provided on the throw-away assembly 20 prohibit removal of the cap 16 till the throw-away assembly is rotated to move to an actuation position. A lock release assembly releases engagement of the lock member when the throw-away assembly is rotated to the drive assembly. |
