PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect stabilized dot and picture formation with a high resolution without a ringing phenomenon, by arranging a specifically predetermined number of laser beams in a sub scanning direction. SOLUTION: An image receiving sheet 4 and an ink sheet 5 are wound on a transcription drum 1. Such a transcription drum 1 is rotated by a motor 9 in a laser main scanning direction. A laser emitter 2 projects a laser beam in accordance with picture data. Then, semiconductor lasers 11a and 11b each having a spot size of 3μm and capable of producing a laser beam having a wave length of 830nm and having an intensity of 12mW, are used and disposed in a sub scanning direction parallel to the generatrix of the transcription drum 1, such that an illuminated laser spot will be separated at a distance of 1.5μm. Therefore, it is possible to effect a stabilized dot formation without any ringing phenomenon, with each dot having a diameter of 10μm, even in the case where the transcription drum 1 is rotated at a speed of 0.2m/s, a laser irradiating time for each dot is set to be 20μs, one line has 100 single black dots, and 100 lines have been recorded. |
