<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the embedding depth of a power cable, especially a submarine cable with high accuracy and conducting constant monitoring. SOLUTION: The embedding depth of a power cable is determined, based on the temperature data of an embedded power cable, base temperature data of power cable embedding points, heating value data of the power cable, intrinsic heat resistance of soil where the power cable is embedded, and diffused intrinsic heat resistance of a power cable surface. The base temperature means, the sea floor surface temperature in the case of a submarine cable, and ground level temperature in the case of a land cable.</p> |
