<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable jacket having a fiber array within an elastomer layer, capable of reducing cable strain without any need of increasing the flexural rigidity of an electric cable or the like and restraining the reduction of jacket thickness at the time of handling. SOLUTION: This integrated composite cable jacket and tube is formed to have the first elastomer jacket layer 16 laid around a signal transmission core 12, a fiber array 14 formed as a fiber array 18 around the first elastomer jacket layer 16, separated via at least two types of fluoropolymer fiber 14 and made to have the prescribed open area, and the second elastomer jacket layer 20 laid around the fiber array 14. In this case, a signal cable assembly is formed to have the cable jacket made as an improved cable jacket having the first elastomer jacket layer 16 jointed to the second elastomer jacket layer 20 around the prescribed open area 22 for forming an integrated composite cable jacket 10, and the signal transmission core 12 having a lengthwise center shaft assembled with the jacket.</p> |
